This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s ® Roof

|
|
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …
|
|
|
| Thanksgiving wasn’t the full day off I had planned … oh, I
got the shows in I wanted to … what I didn’t realize last week that it was going to be six hours dedicated to outdoors and getting my holiday lighting up. It just happened when I met my new friend David on Wednesday who said, “I can be at your house early to help you with your light displays.” Doing my happy dance, he was there at 7.30 am with his nephew and the two of them are now on my “go to” list for help. That afternoon, I did the Macy Parade catch up and settled in for the National Dog Show. Another happy dance, The dog I liked the best came out as Best in the Show—Soleil, a black Belgian Sheepdog. She was
gorgeous! On Monday, my new best friend fix it guy texted me, “I have a few hours today. I’ll be over to get your new hot tub set up.” Now I have two essential guys who are my go to fix it … almost anything. Most of us need support help at some time. Seek it. Your life will welcome
it.

Don’t be a tardy bird …
December will bring the Author Holiday Lunch on Saturday December 13 … that is an IN-PERSON only gathering. Food (lots), schmoozing, gift exchange. My house. You have only one more week to commit.
If you are a lunch person, this would be a good place to be … plus you will have your afternoon free for other events. December
doesn’t have enough days in it. Details below to register and say “I ... we ... will be there.” As fall marches on … I decided to move beyond and start setting up for the holidays. All the leaves are gathered. Plants that need to be cut back for the winter are all winterized. The fall wreaths are now shouting Christmastime. Out came my giant teddy bear. Outdoor lights ready to land somewhere—anywhere. The dining room table is ready to be dressed for the season as the mainroom island and bar. Planning forward for the Author Holiday party next month. Look forward to seeing you there. I have a few other gatherings for close friends on my
calendar for around my holiday table all set for conversations and eating.

The HOLIDAY Party is a Lunch catered by the Olive Garden this year and slated for Saturday, December 13th. Meet for the Author Holiday lunch at noon in my home. If you are a brunch person, this would be a good place to be … plus you will have your early
morning free and late afternoon free for other events. Also—it’s daylight. Perfect. December doesn’t have enough days in it. Details below to register and say “I ... we ... will be there.” I look forward to seeing the AuthorU.org members one more time before the end of the year. If you read my blog this week , it’s all about What do Authors and “The Gambler” have in common? Lots. The Gambler’s four key words:
hold ‘em, fold’em, walk, and run could save all of us plenty of mistakes, money, and time. https://thebookshepherd.com/thegambler/
