This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …
Monday looked a bit like last Monday, except Monday, the 15th was a full-scale blizzard. This Monday the 22nd, brought in another 10 inches of snow—my shoveling body is screaming ENOUGH—leave it in the mountains for the skiers. My good news in that department was that I had the snow finally cleared from the back deck—over 9 feet with the drifts and that I could finally get my car out of the garage after 7 days of blockage.

And HELLO SPRING! So far, it’s been quite wet and cold. My finches are back. I did hang the feeders and have ordered 50# of the thistle Nyjer seed that’s a favorite to start the refilling that is never-ending through October. Monday AM greeted them with more snow. I always push off the seed I keep in the big pot before flowers take over.

One of my favorite sightings a few years ago was when I looked up from my desk to the backyard. In a tree were at least 20 finches looking, all directed toward my window. And, I imagined them chirping—YooHoo … we are back. Where’s our treats?
March is always a month that brings the promise of flowers to come … my bulbs that have made it through the snow pack is sharing the “green” to follow.
Two of our AuthorYOU members grabbed a truckload of #1 spots for their Amazon eBook campaigns over the past weekend.

Loved that Book Shepherd client Ray McKinley had a busy weekend signing his hot off the printing press book, Ride the Elephant. Fans couldn’t wait for the official launch next month—visiting his offices in Michigan to get their personalized copies when the news was out—it’s arrived!

Sally Bartlett is now a #1 bestselling author with her book, Dammit … It IS Menopause! with #1 in 10 categories in three solid days, literally around the clock last Thursday through Saturday. John Maling duplicated the #1 badge, carrying his 10 categories of #1 into four solid days for Have Your Ever Held a Mountain? Congrats to both.

I had an hour full of fun with Susan Gilbert on and in her Clubhouse episode—our topic: what does age have to do with publishing? I’ll be setting up a Clubhouse for authors soon … just need to get through March Publishing Madness. Currently, Clubhouse is only open to iPhone users.

Looking forward to the third session of the Amazon Bestseller 4-week workshop today that every participant has been able to truly claim “I’m a #1 bestseller on Amazon” … and not for just an hour. They are talking multiple days in multiple categories. The next one will roll out in May. Would love to have you part of the author success train.
