This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof:
What a week. I loved the all new Book Marketing Unplugged. As past alumni participant Ron Beach said, "I’ve been to every Unplugged event … this one is the single best I’ve attended." For those of you who took a pass … put that in your boo-boo column.
One of the activities from the 30 Tools that started with a demo and that "do" included making new posters. I’ve decided to create an entire stream using my quotes from my book Snappy Sassy Salty-Wise Words for Authors & Writers and cats … as in cats with attitudes. Now, to turn them over to my assistant Leah to add her magic as I add to the stream of cat pictures I’ve been saving in a special folder. I suspect Grey Cat below will have a different presentation next go around and a lot of company.

Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU.

I threw in the Fall towel on Sunday … the freeze we had in Denver two weeks earlier zapped the possibility of coloring I so love of the maples that surround my home—all that we left was shriveled up brown that a strong wind wisked away much of them. Winter is coming—fair notice to cover all the furniture on the deck and bring all in—drain the water lines. Done and done.

My other adventure this week was a rendeovoux with my ortho surgeon on Monday. I had passed my sell-by-date for the knee that was replaced 15 years ago. The second time around is complicated and I got to test it out. Heading home today … and now the rehab starts. So not fun … can’t drive for six weeks

Bestseller Webinar replay from October 9th
Want to turn every book you have into a REAL bestseller?

Bet you do. And I’ve got a special webinar popping at NOON Mountain time on Tuesday, October 9th.

Writing a book is an act of passion. It takes time, energy and sacrifice.

You take something real and vibrant from within your soul and you put it on the table for the world to see. And, you become vulnerable.

                         What will people think?
                         What will they say?
                         Will they buy my book?

There is nothing more devastating for authors than to write an amazing book and put in their best effort to launch it… Only to hear the sound of crickets.

Most authors put off thoughts of publishing and marketing until after their masterpiece is written… and that’s totally understandable.

Oh-Oh, that can be a death sentence for your next book.

Here’s my truthiness: most launches succeed or fail long before the book hits the shelves. It’s the pre launch buzz and strategy that make the difference.

Here are just a few of the secrets you will master next week:

-  Harness the PASSION CONUNDRUM: How to turn your passion into the fulcrum that turns your next book into a bestseller.

-  Learn the LIKEABILITY SECRET: The secret to making every visitor FOUR TIMES more likely to buy your book.

-  Beat the LAUNCH HURDLES: How to jump over the accursed book launch hurdle that trips up far too many budding authors.

-  And much, much more!

Get ready to learn exactly where to turn the wrench on your next book launch (or relaunch) and once you know it, it’s going to feel like a breeze!

Question: I don’t want to learn anything about social media. Do I have to?

Answer: No, you don’t. But, and it’s a BIG but … social media is powerful in building your reader base, fans, building influence, and marketing and selling books. Do you want to talk about it?
