| It’s been cold in the mornings here in Colorado and then warming in the early afternoons. Daylight is definitely shorter—I miss it. This past Saturday, A few of us ventured out to the craft’s fair within the community I live it. Weather perfect. Lots of people. Books sold. Kids’ books were hot!
|

|
|
|
November is a HUGE writing month and even though the official NaNoWriMo shut down, you can still do your own thing. Many say that AI was the genesis of its decline/downfall. So ugh.
|
|
|
|
|
The HOLIDAY Party is a Lunch catered by the Olive Garden this year and slated for Saturday, December 13th. Meet for the Author Holiday lunch at noon in my home. If you are a brunch person, this would be a good place to be … plus you will have your early morning free and late afternoon free for other events. Perfect. December doesn’t have enough days in it. Getting ready for our first gathering this weekend. A crafts fair this Saturday. Throughout the year, local authors participate in Book Fairs sponsored by Barnes & Noble. From them, Barnes & Noble generously supports the Hall’s Aspiring Authors Scholarships. Think Holiday shopping. Personalized books are always welcomed. A win-win for all of us. | Question of the Week ... How does Amazon’s Unlimited work?

Answer: Authors with books on Amazon can participated in the Unlimited program. They get paid via a “pooled” fund that is supported by readers who are subscribers to Unlimited (under $10 a month) … meaning they can download, read a few pages or the entire book. The more pages read, the moneys you can earn increase significantly. It is not uncommon for the Unlimited reader to transition and buy the book—either downloading the eBook or purchasing the print version.
