Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …
This coming weekend is a bookstore selling marathon. Saturday finds eight authors in the Ft Collins Barnes & Noble store and on Sunday, we are all at the Colorado Blvd. store. From the opening until 5 pm, selling our own books and BN supports the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame Aspiring Author scholarships with a percentage of overall store sales going toward the kitty ... WOOT!
Drop to say hello … and buy books. Mother’s Day is around the corner. Graduation gifts. Birthday gifts. And of course, YOU. Author Charles Breakfield from Texas will be joining in.

| Ahh … my office clean out path landed me in the supply closet
this week. What a job … and I found a photo of myself in my late 20s … oh my! I loved the colors!

| And my eye is turning outside to the front porch. Rails were added to each brick pillar for step safety for all, new planters. With spray paint in hand, my old planters that have dulled with snow and sun got a kiss of new paint. This week, flowers will be added. Saturday afternoon found me with two friends, mid recliner theater seats at to take in “Project Hail Mary”—loved, LOVED it. There is a reason why it’s grossed over $500 million. The visual cinema candy and Ryan Gosling was just what I needed. Yes, it will come to the streaming options but not soon—definitely, this is one you want to see on the big screen. Tis a treat … that is if you are looking for two
hours of friendship and curiosity blended with humor that won’t offend; a great message of accepting differences; awesome special effects; and a few surprises. Sunday, two of my foodie friends dropped in for a perfect, let’s take their coffee and my tea for my back deck and just absord the warm and being together. For two hours, we caught up on so many things. When was the last time you just STOPPED what you were doing and enjoyed a band of a few hours with no agenda? Just being? Juliana and Bruce delivered a “just being” with the three of us talking about a variety of items. So love these unscheduled times that can just happen. Earlier in the day, I added another recipe to my upcoming, Appetizers with Judith cookbook. I can happily declare I’ve passed the half way mark. Goal is to have it done in 45 days. Woot!

Great evals came from
yesterday’s webinar. The tech gremlins were out … but we got the core of the webinar completed before the Microsoft’s update fairies decided that 3.35 pm was a good time to upgrade my computer. Here’s the replay.
- Why it makes dollars and sense to add grocery stores to your book marketing mix.
- How to be invited into the program.
- What an author needs to have at a grocery signing event.
- How to create your author book-selling
tour.
- How you get paid and how often.
- Guidance.

| Question of the Week ... What is a Super fan?
My Answer: Good question. Super Fans follow authors and genres. Anything the other publishes, they buy. New books in a genre, they buy. Usually women, over 40, they become vocal marketing support for books and authors. Super Fans are good things to have!
