Do you remember when the paper doomsdayers were saying that all paper would disappear? That EVERYTHING would be digital?

Ha! Printed books are still that format of choice, outselling digital and audio by leaps and bounds. It doesn’t mean that it’s the only format … just ONE of many. As audio is; as digital “e” is. Traditional printed books, eBooks, and audiobooks happily coexist today. And are lucrative for publishers and authors.

  • Publishing is not an either/or world
  • The new fancy, dancy technology doesn’t always replace the old.
  • There is a place for both traditional, audio and digital media platforms.
  • It’s a good thing.

This coming year will be my year of “Re” … from a ReDo and RePublish (of my existing publishing books) to a ReInvest (my time and energy) and many more to come. It’s the Power of “Re”. How about you … what will be your theme forward be? As you read this, I’ve completed the rewrites of THREE of my books and working on the fourth this week. Check. Check. Check. All are at layout. All have new covers designed. It’s the Power of “Re” –a ReDo, ReInvest, Repurpose, and Republish. My “ReVeal” will be in next week’s blog on Tuesday. Loving all the new covers—a wowsa created with the combined talents of Rebecca Finkle and Nick Zelinger. READ yesterday’s blog here:

They are back! When the COVID-19 surfaced, stores and restaurants wanted to stay in business. Quickly, they converted products and menus into formats that your mobile device could read and access with its camera. They are now being adopted widely. Recommendation: add them to your promo material … bookmarks, etc. Most are free. Make sure before you print anything that you TEST the image out—that it goes to where you want a user to go. Think website Home page; or the Store/Shop/Book page within your site; or your book detail page on Amazon.  I used to create QR image. Have some fun… there are ways to customize, even get your logo in it.

Webinar Replay … the Ultimate Workbook Model
The Workbook Creation offer from this week’s webinar ends on Monday. Do not pooh-pooh the power of physical, printable books. It’s what the majority of readers and workshop participants want: touching, writing on them, even turning down the corner so it physically pops to the eye when looking for a key citing or adding a sticky note. It’s what works. They are a magnet.

Product Expert Debbie Drum reinforced the power for why you want your fans, followers, and future customers desire to have something physical to take your sage advice and wisdom and reinforce it … it’s creating a workbook in a printed format.

#1 Takeaway: Having one of these gains you more buying customers and fans …

#2 Takeaway: one of the best ways to achieve this is to have a printed workbook. There are VERY FEW authors using this powerful tool to gain customers and get more sales.
Here’s the Webinar replay available through MONDAY midnight:
