This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …
Last Saturday was simply an awesome gathering where Nick Zelinger, Debra Jason, Mara Purl, Rox Burkey, Carolyne Ruck, Bobby Crew, and I did a FUN and interactive kick-butt sharing of not 60 ... but 70 tips in 90 minutes. The amount of info that was shared was staggering. Those who couldn’t attend will get the replay ... if you missed it ... it’s a wet noodle boo-boo for you.

Author Jeannette Seibly enjoyed a marathon of book-selling Hiring this past weekend, earning over 9 #1s on Amazon for her Hiring Amazing Employees.

It's always painful for me when someone exits my life who has been a friend and a fabulous publishing resource. Last week, Charlie Tlapa died. Charlie was my go to person at Total Printing Systems, a book manufacturer that has printed many of my client's and the author community's books that I've had the pleasure to work with. Charlie and Total Printing enthusiastically supported AuthorYou's events and activities and immediately got behind the Colorado Authors' Hall of Fame from its inception. I will miss him, his energy, and support.
Become a snowbird for a week ... join me and two dozen other authors in the Caribbean this winter. I am so ready to get back to the Publishing at Sea cruise slated for January 21-28. It's on one of my favorite ships—love the Central Park area for schmoozing and relaxing--has always been a personal favorite. It's going to be a writing time for me as well ... I will be completing my next book. Why not join me? Info below and Details are on ... the website is updated with the Faculty and Topics. October 15 is the cut-off commitment and pay for it date.

Are YOU ...
ready for  book marketing & social media kick butt success?
Early Bird Ends October 1st.
Most authors rarely respond with a YES when asked: Did you start marketing your book when you began writing it? And it means a commitment to marketing your book. And to untangling the confusion of social media?
Who do you call to untangle it all?

Judith Briles … that’s who you call.

· Do you want use social media where it works for you and your book?
· Do you want to have a defined plan that you understand?
· Do you want one that you can implement without needing a PhD?

If that is you, then how much time are you spending working on a marketing solution? What about social media and using it within your marketing strategies. What are you investing in your time, energy, and money to learn and create a plan that works? Savvy authors have learned that you cannot solve your marketing problem the next day by simply repeating what you did yesterday, last week, last month … or certainly, last year. That’s author insanity.

SOLUTION: Spend a day with me in October. Attend and participate in the ONLINE Dr. Judith Briles Book Marketing & Social Media Unplugged. Successful authors believe and practice my motto: if my author success is to be … it’s up to me. It’s the Author Success model.

Sound like a plan? Details are on the Experience tab on my website.

Be there …

Get Registered and attend Judith Briles COMBO Book Marketing & Social  Media Unplugged ONLINE.

5 Autumn Author Tea

It’s that time of the year for many of my favorite people: Authors!

If that’s YOU, my question is: are you interested in being featured at my annual Author’s Tea slated for Saturday afternoon, October 29th that will be in my home.
The Annual Authors’ Fall Holiday Tea will be held on:
Saturday, October 29   from 1 – 4 pm

I will be hosting the gathering in my home within the Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club in Aurora, Colorado. Think of this as a book marketing coop. The catch is that you MUST bring guests. No exceptions. I bring at least 40. You need to invite and bring guests as well. It won’t work unless you do. It doesn’t matter what your friends/family already own your book—but they don’t know about other local authors. Friends are cheerleaders for you and your books to those they meet when at the schmooze fest ... and believe me, it is.

YOUR cost is two-fold:

· $25 now to be included—you can send a check or call me and pay by credit card. This will cover the cost of food and beverage for attendees—think High Tea, which mean sweets and sandwiches along with teas—sometimes we do cranmosas as well. AND I have several cases of books that I’m going to toss in as gifts to all who buy books during the event—some are mine; and some are titles donated by other authors.

· INVITE & BRING people. This is a marketing coop … you need to get people there. It’s a MUST … not a “coast” … Let your fans and friends know NOW to HOLD THE DATE. I will be posting the event on the site, two Meetup Groups and sent out invites via to 300 personal contacts.

What you need to do now … let me know now that you are IN   email me TODAY at and in the subject line: OCT author tea  there are only 20 slots … is one yours?
