| My locust trees are alive with fuchsia clusters of flowers—the image above is taken from my back deck. The rain ... will it ever warm up enough to grow veggies in the garden ... or will plants drown? What a week. Writing. Helping authors repurposing their old to a new. Saturday found 10 hours spending their day at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Lakewood, Colorado. A beautiful store. Delightful customers. And we sold lots of books. It’s a long day, from nine to five that benefits the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame. A good thing.

· She’s published 21 books ranging from creative nonfiction, to natural history, to heritage history, humor, and kids’ books.
· She knows birds. Her newest book is Bluebird Season: Witnessing Climate Change in My Piece of the World.
· She’s written the official centennial history of the Rocky Mountain National Park.
· She’s a past Artist in Residence at Rocky Mountain National Park.
· She was the recipient in 2020 of the Colorado
Authors League Life Time Achievement Award.
