This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof:
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU.

Saturday was a very good day for 28 authors as we gathered on a chilly (yes, we had sub-zero weather that warmed up to a balming 9 degrees) for an all-day book marketing event. Ending on the dot at four, as snow began to fall—all agree it was a terrific way to learn and exchange ideas.
With excellent presentations by Kelly Johnson, Lisa Reinicke, Melody Jones and Rebecca Finkel, it was an investment that attendees could immediately see what the could do starting that weekend to morph what they are doing and adding to their book marketing tool kit. It was a pleasure to present along side these remarkable authors and publishing professionals.

The webinar yesterday on creating slides that will knock a participant’s socks off did just that. It was excellent. The replay will be sent out today—make sure you watch. If you are doing any type of presentation that require or desire slides, you want this on your side.

Lookie, lookie. I love the way When God Says NO- Revealing the YES When Adversity and Loss Are Present has come together—whew, quite the triathlon. Moving to print this week. Some wanted me to call it Fifty Shades of Purple! It’s what I call a "heart book" … the response from early readers has been overwhelming. I’ll be bringing it out in hardback and it’s already up on Amazon—details here
This is a HUGE ask ... and I know that I've asked multiple times. Many of my book reviews on Amazon are just ONE review away from crossing the Amazon "hot" line for cross promotion. If you have a copy of AuthorYOU, Snappy Sassy Salty, How to Avoid 101 Book Publishing Blunders, Bloopers & Boo-boos, How to Create a $1,000,000 Speech, The CrowdFunding Guide for Authors & Writers -- take less that 5 minutes of your time; go to Amazon; post a review--you can mention the readability, the aha you took away, how you are using the tips. Thank you.

Tic Tock … the March Speaking Unplugged is coming in 16 days … are you joining me? Only 3 spots left. That is, if you want to sell truckloads of books. I’m going to be giving a full Book Review strategy game plan with book reviewers contact names to one lucky attendee—value is $400. Details below.

And, how was your week and what are you planning as you go forward?

Questions of the Week:

Question: When should I publish my book?

Answer: For me, the real question back is: what are you going to do to support your book when it is available? When to publish includes having your website "ready"; have social media ready to go; having others ready to do should outs for you; having books in hand … that’s when you formally publish. It doesn’t mean "my book’s live on Amazon" … it means ready to support your baby. To me, the month is irrelevant.

Book Shepherd "Fun" or an "Uh-Oh" of the Week

Love it when I find a fun shorty—a quick smile, a laugh out loud, a sip of tea … and back to work—perfect. Cats like blankets … except when they get stuck a bit.
