What fun … several cases of The Secret Rise were delivered yesterday. And over the July
4th weekend, I’ll be doing a bestseller campaign to earn and claim “bestseller” and add the badge to the cover. Throughout this month, I’ll be doing signings for The Secret Rise at several of the Barnes & Noble stores in the Metro Denver
area.

We are excited! Love the new

I’m loving the sun, with a little rain mixed in. Yesterday was ideal. Finished a client’s “big book” and moved it to my nonfiction editor after eight hours of myopic putting it all together. Summer garden is in and growing—loving the tomatoes starts to pop out. And my of my favorite “show offs” in the garden pots is boasting it’s brilliant colors of yellows and oranges this week.

Author Salons are on the second Saturday of each month—they are always the second Saturday of the month details posted below. July will have both ONLINE and IN-PERSON gatherings if enough sign up for them. Remember,
if there isn’t a minimum of five participants by Friday afternoon, the session will be cancelled. The Salons are a benefit with AuthorU membership, the next date is Saturday, July 12th.

Answer: How about planning an escape? Drop away and out for a few
hours, a few days, sometimes a few weeks. Authors need to take a break. From their work, sometimes themselves. Read another author’s book; take in a movie or several; a cooking weekend; a mini get-away. The reality is that we authors need an escape hatch to rejuvenate our resources and words. Recognize it and take the walk when you need to.
