This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof:
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU.

We were so busy learning … and having a good time—we forgot to take any pics! Bypassing our First Saturday gatherings can create a major dent in your success. This past one was all key tools to use for enhancing your marketing success. A great morning was held by all as we worked through,, Canva, YouTube and Animoto. A combo Tech Tool Box and Creativity Galore!

Gads … Saturday afternoon was one for grieving the yard. A sudden hail storm arrived in my neighborhood that left all of us with trees, shrubs, and plants shredded. It’s a start over for all as 3-4 inches of marble-sized hail pounded hard. My driveway went from grey concrete to white and when it melted, green leaves were left from all the maple trees.

All the veggies are gone. All the color is gone. All the trees are naked once again. This didn’t feel like June. I called customer service at Home depot where I had bought many of the annuals and my roses. "Bring them in—we will replace them." Now, that made my afternoon!

AuthorYOU Salons for June will be on the 8th —if you are in Colorado—come for coffee or tea …
it’s on me.
It’s a perfect way to start your Saturday for author savvy and know-how. Details HERE.

Author Tools – Doodle pitches
I’m a fan of Animoto and have been since I first opened its website. And use it.
Last Saturday, we demoed for AuthorYOU members and next week, we are going to do a special webinar on it. But there is something about a drawing appearing in front of your eyes as it is formed … and Tadah! You’ve hooked an audience. Sellamations is doodle animation. Their team works with you to create and deliver a 1-2-3 simple visual and engaging message for your fans … and future ones!  It even includes "the right energy" voice over to go along with it. It’s not free. If interested, go to the website and ask them to contact you.
Shipping Oh-Ohs
One of the truly magnificent days in the life of an author, after months and months of writing, more months of production, and then months of waiting, comes when your new books are finally ready to be shipped from the publisher’s warehouse.

Publishers know how to ship books so that they will arrive in good condition. So, your author copies, in pristine condition, are carefully packed at the warehouse.  Sometimes, they travel thousands of miles, from one stop to the next, magically making their way, ultimately, to your destination.
