This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof:
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU.

YES … yes, you can. It’s what I say to all my clients. YES … you can with focus. YES … you can with work—plenty of it. YES … you can succeed as an author. Trust me here, there will always be naysayers in your midst—including sometimes you. From me to you STOP sabotaging yourself. Got that. Now for the others … understand that most naysayers who tell you, "You can’t," are usually jerks. And the may be envious … you are writing … you are publishing … and they are not. My two bits.

Many of you know that I completed the Publishing at Sea Cruise in January with a group of fabulous authors at all stages and then took a week for bionic writing of my own. Working with clients … but doing a massive re-write of a book I wrote in the 90s and hounded by many to get it out once again. My intent was to do a minimal rewrite for a reposition. The new version took me over and created a new life of its own. I completed it and moved it to my editor before I left the ship after six straight 14-hour days. Post the cruise, my nagging brain goosed me to add two more chapters. The original book was gutted and then doubled in size from eight chapters to sixteen.

Water is my thing. So is the beach. It’s up on Amazon for pre-orders. The book has become an autobiography. When God Says NO-Revealing the YES When Adversity and Loss Are Present is the result. https://amzn.to/2UV41Xt
The March Speaking Unplugged is coming … are you joining me? That is, if you want to sell truckloads of books. I’m going to be giving a full Book Review strategy gameplan with book reviewers contact names to one lucky attendee—value is $400. Details below.

Why Speaking at Fundraisers Can Soar Your Book Sales
Join us for a webinar on February 21st

Master entrepreneur, author, and speaker Tom Antion have personally spoken at fundraisers over 100 times in his career and each time, it's been a win/win/win for him, the group he did it for, and the audience members who attended. How can you beat that?

It's also the number one way that speakers can earn a consistent income in any economy.

Watch this webinar led by Tom Antion and learn how to:

...Use Fundraisers to get tons of publicity . . . meet high power producers, hosts, writers, and journalists who will welcome the chance to work with you.

...Get powerful testimonials you could never access in any other way . . . these will be your main tool for people to start calling you to do fundraisers for their group.

...Network with influential people that love to attend fundraisers. . . Many people you would like to reach won't come out for anything . . . but they will come out for fundraisers.

... Structure deals so that both you and the group make money . . . In fact, in most cases, you will make more than the group and if you do it as I tell you, they won't mind a bit.

...Save people from rotting their teeth out... .WHAT... I'm serious and you'll see what I mean on the webinar.

... Structure and monitor the agreement so you get the biggest attendance possible . . . you don't want only three people showing up and if you aren't careful, it could happen that way.

… Avoid disasters that could ruin the entire event . . .
unexpected costs could eat up the money . . . don't let that happen to you.

...How to find meeting space with awesome AV equipment with ZERO costs . . . almost every community has gorgeous meeting space available on a complimentary basis. He will show you where to find it.

It's happening on THURSDAY, February 21 at 6 Eastern, 4 Mountain. Register--you will also get the replay.  Join in if you would like to make money and support a fundraiser at the same time.

Questions of the Week:

Question: I’m done with my book. How much will it cost to publish?

Answer: It depends. And it’s a loaded question. Has editing been done outside of a family member or a friend? Are you going to attempt to lay it out yourself or are you going to engage a book designer? What about your cover—who will create it? Then there’s printing. Are you doing POD? A short run of books? Or a bigger printing run? What?
